OK I'm spoilt for choice,

130 dropside pickup with a Diahatsu 2.8 TD
90 S/T 3.9 V8 on carbs
90" LWT project with Isuzu 2.8 TD

Ask away....

My mum had a Frontera with that Isuzu 2.8 and it was a total monster!! Really agricultural but loads of power and never ever put a foot wrong. Car died at 180k, everything fell apart accept that engine, sounded as good as the day we got it.

Mate of mine had a 90 with that engine and it was ace. You can get conversion kits for them and ive seen a RRC with one fitted for sale before.

The Isuzu is an easy fit, the conversion kit has everything you need and picks up on the standard chassis engine mounts.
Even the front exhaust pipe is available to mate directly to the std L/R system.

Here's some more info.  http://www.mdengineering.co.uk/index.php?act=category&cat_id=2

If you'ld like a look, you're more than welcome

I must confess that the conversion kit was bought before 200/300's were available at a reasonable price.... However the torque from the larger engine is very useable..... :)
