« on: July 03, 2013, 09:22:11 PM »
Can anyone help, I`m looking for a good second had unit, condenser, drier and fan, I have a leak and to fit a new one is in the region of £400 plus. My 2001 Disco Td5 is not worth it with nearly 200k on the clock. So can anyone help please. I am based in West Dunbartonshire.

Do you know where the leak is?

Theres a common problem in that one of the pipes that comes from behind the grille into the engine bay, rubs/corrodes at one of the pipe clips. This causes your leak, not big enough for the aircon not to work after a recharge, but enough for the aircon to fail again reasonable quickly.

Thanks for that helpful info, I will check it out.I purchased a tin of refrigerant recharge/leak sealant, keeping fingers crossed that it works.
