Hello recently bought a discovery and it needs more work than I can afford so is up for sale as spares or if your a keen welder and land rover enthusiast repairs.

Has good engine and gearbox all works sounds sweet even with such a high millage. 205K my freind has a 90 defender with less millage and this disco sounds much better..
body work is ok driver's seat is broken and ripped.
interior is taty and needs a good clean.

The usual rust spots are there but starts first time and has alloys too.

I hope you get it away for your ?300.
Worth every penny to the person that needs the parts.
a good drivetrain is worth it alone IMHO
(a pity when someone steam cleans an engine compartment & then doesnt lub the metal afterwards,
sometimes an oily LR is a good thing)

Opinions on the value of parts is a funny thing.

I saw someone that lives miles away from anyplace, asking ?70 for a 2.25 diesel engine recently.
& ?50 for this and that

PPS, cancel that, i think it will need to be delivered at sellers cost & free.

Excellent response to a cheeky reply, there's no need to rub it in when the seller's only trying to get his money back after realising the car's beyond his abiliities we've all been there

Terry i am up your way at least once a month, sometimes with a van or towing a trailer
 & others on the forum or members of the SLROC are in your area as well,or pass near.

Why not post one ad listing all what you need & what you have to sell,
It might be possible for some buyers & sellers to cut down on fuel cost
 & help you get what you need.

Is it not worth your time traveling south to collect your bits in one go, or do you not drive?

 hi george thats just the thing i am not of age to drive yet not till summer anyway so if i asked other members they could deliver ? or something ?

i have i series 3 that i am rebuilding just fitted a new  galvanized chassis  to so this is a good place to source parts so looking for a 200tdi#

I kind of knew that by googling & coming up with your name 'Dornoch house' sports 2008 & Innovations.

If people are aware you are young & building your first vehicle yourself,
they may be more understanding in donating or helping with cheap bits.

Why not get a thread going with your build & see if anyone can help.
The bits you have must be worth a swap for someone.
